The Chutes to Captain Jacks is the best mountain biking trail in town.  The knock on this trail is that sometimes The Chutes can be busy with mountain bikers, hikers, and trail runners and that Captain Jacks can get a little loose and gravelly from the dirt bikes.  But overall this trail has killer views, a good climb, and a bobsled like descent.
Arguably the best trail in Colorado Springs.  Climb about a mile up High Drive from the bottom.  Then meet up with the Palmer Trail about 1 mile up and hang a right.  Climb up the smooth trail to the top where you can continue down Section 16 or return the same way you just climbed.  Section 16 is a technically fun decent while the Palmer Trail is a fun, fast, and smooth decent.  Both will leave you smiling.
The best way to ride this trail is to park by the Palmer Lake Reservoir.  You'll climb about 10 miles on a sometimes steep road but will be able to take the trail downhill through the beautiful Limbaugh Canyon.  After the ViewPoint, there is a new trail that has recently been made for trail users so you're no longer trespassing and climbing over fences.  Hang a right and you'll weave your way back to your car.
